A flare is a safety device that burns excess gases that cannot be processed, as an alternative to venting directly into the atmosphere, and which could accumulate and form a flammable cloud, so such combustion may be required in the following situations:
- During unplanned operational interruptions or emergencies where gases must be depressurised from the process to avoid overpressurisation and damage to equipment which could cause uncontrolled release of hydrocarbon gases into the atmosphere.
- For start-up or shut-down of refinery or chemical plant processes when the gases generated cannot be channelled back to the process or storage tank.
To meet this need, in any of its situations, our torches can be:
- High
- Ground-mounted encased or encapsulated
- Biogas
- Pit burners
- Refuelling burners
- Cold vents
